Una nota su ittita ḫark- + participio*

Abstract

The aim of this contribution is to re-examine the ḫark- + participle periphrasis in Hittite within the theoretical framework provided by typological research on the cross-linguistic categories of perfect and resultative. The focus of the discussion is the aspectual function of this periphrasis and, more specifically, its resultative value. On the basis of the hypothesis pursued here, the ḫark- + participle periphrasis is compared with the Latin habeo + perfect passive participle periphrasis by pointing to their differences but also on their similarities.
